| Information on Weller Pottery |
| The Weller pottery Company was established in Zanesville, Ohio, in 1882. Sam Weller along with William Long began making art pottery in 1895. Several fine lines of art pottery were developed, Louwelsa, Dickens ware, and Sicardo to name a few. During the 1920’s Weller produced a line of gardenware and life – sized figures of animals, gnomes, and people that were sold at the Weller store in Zanesville. The depression brought a decline to Weller pottery and the factory closed in 1948. Parts of this article were taken from Schroeder’s Antiques Price Guide 26th edition.
