| Information on Stangl |
| In 1940 the Stangl Company introduced ceramic birds. The birds were a hugh success. The Company stopped making the dinnerware and just concentrated on making birds and animals. The company went out of business in 1978. Most of the birds were marked. There is a 4 digit number to identify the species. Several of the pieces have been signed by the artist. An ‘F’ on the bottom of the bird means that it was made in the Flemington plant in New Jersey. This article was taken from Schroeder’s Antiques Price Guide written in 2008.
