Information on Autumn
Leaf by Hall China
Autumn Leaf China was made by the Hall China Company for the
Jewel Tea Company.  It was started in 1933, and was made until
1978.  It is still very popular today.  They made many different
things that can be used in the kitchen.   Autumn Leaf began with
a door to door salesman with laundry soap and other household
products made by Jewel Tea.  Jewel Tea Company went out of
business in 1979.  Hall China has not produced the original
pieces since then.  Each year the Hall China Company makes
Autumn Leaf commemorative pieces for the National Autumn Leaf
Club in Indianapolis, Indiana.  It is the most popular pattern
made by Hall.  Other companies used the same decal in the early
30’s.  Then later the decal became exclusive.  The information for
this article was taken from the Collector’s Encyclopedia of
American Dinnerware second edition by Jo Cunningham.
